Great; you now understand that there are several things to look
for when setting a client up on a cycle.

The leg should be almost fully extended at the bottom of the cycle, with approximately
10 to 40 degrees of flexion in the knee. |

Setting the seat up at hip height is a good
place to start, but you also need
to look at the knee angle.

You must also look to make sure that the knee does not go over the toes when the
feet are at the 3 o'clock and 9 o'clock positions. Participants who violate any of
these rules will have an increased risk of knee injury. |
