This course is designed to improve understanding of the national standards for physical education and how to implement them in the classroom. It can be used in college-level pre-service courses or taken by practicing PE teachers for continuing education credit. The course provides a framework from which to design and implement appropriate movement experiences aligned with the national standards that lead to student learning of meaningful skill, knowledge, and attitudes.
